Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This policy describes how NodeRings ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use noderings.com, the marketplace console, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). NodeRings runs a marketplace. Independent hosting providers sell the compute and game-server plans. We run the account, discovery, ordering, and billing tools around those plans.
Information we collect
- Account. Name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), organization membership, and optional multi-factor authentication details if you turn that on.
- Sign-in with Google. If you choose Google, we receive the OpenID identifier Google assigns to your account, your email address, whether Google has verified that email, and your name and profile details. We use that to create or sign you into your NodeRings account and to show your name in the console. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- Sign-in with GitHub. If you choose GitHub, we receive your GitHub user id, username, name, and verified primary email address. We use that the same way we use Google sign-in: to create or sign you into your NodeRings account.
- Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status, customer and payment-method references, and invoice records. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored by NodeRings.
- Use of the Services. Orders, organization and project membership, support tickets, and sign-in records such as IP address, browser type, and the time of the session. We use these to run the product and to investigate abuse.
- Messages you send us. Whatever you include in a support request or email to [email protected].
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account, including social sign-in;
- show plans, take orders, and route them to the provider you chose;
- bill you and pay providers through Stripe;
- send transactional email, such as verification, invites, and receipts;
- answer support requests;
- detect fraud, lock out repeated failed sign-ins, and keep the service reliable;
- understand site traffic when you allow analytics cookies.
Who else receives information
- The provider you buy from. They receive the order and the account details required to deliver the plan. Their own privacy notice covers what they do with data inside their infrastructure.
- Stripe for payments.
- Google when you use Google sign-in, and for analytics cookies only if you accept them. Google's handling of that sign-in is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- GitHub when you use GitHub sign-in.
- Cloudflare for the bot check on registration and similar forms, and as the network in front of the site.
- Email delivery uses Amazon SES. We send the message content and the recipient address.
We also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protectNodeRings, our users, or the public from fraud or abuse.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies run only if you accept them. Details are in the Cookie Notice.
How long we keep it
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is open and for the period we need to complete payments, resolve disputes, and meet accounting and security obligations. Sign-in with Google or GitHub stores the provider's account identifier on your NodeRings user so we can recognize you on the next visit. You can disconnect a social account in profile settings when another way to sign in remains.
Your choices
You can update your profile in the console, reject analytics cookies, and ask us to correct or delete account information by emailing [email protected]. Deleting an account does not erase records we must keep for billing, fraud prevention, or a legal claim. Workloads you placed with a provider stay under that provider's control.
Children
The Services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
