A dedicated cPanel license in the summer of 2019 was $45 a month, with unlimited accounts. From 1 September 2019, 250 accounts on Premier cost $75: $45 for the first 100, then $0.20 for each of the other 150. On the store price in force since 16 December 2025, those same 250 accounts cost $143.49. The 2027 licensing guide, effective 16 December 2026, puts them at $159.49.
Same account count. cPanel had started billing per account. WHMCS reprices the whole license when you cross a client cap. Hetzner's June 2026 cloud increase bills the new price on a new order or a rescale, and a server you leave alone stays on the old price.
The rows are each vendor's own list. A license you buy through a host can be a different number.

Linode's April 2023 change, and the OVH and Kimsufi rises, are not rows. I do not have a before and an after for them.
cPanel price increase since 2019
For 1,000 accounts the September 2019 rate is $45 + (900 × $0.20) = $225. The Register is the announcement behind that rate. Annual licenses converted to monthly as they renewed.
The store list effective 16 December 2025, from the support article and cpanel.net/pricing:
| Tier | Accounts | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Solo Cloud | 1 | $29.99 |
| Admin Cloud | up to 5 | $35.99 |
| Pro Cloud | up to 30 | $53.99 |
| Premier, Cloud or Metal | 100, then each account above | $69.99 + $0.49 |
250 accounts on that Premier price: $69.99 + (150 × $0.49) = $143.49. The next account is $0.49. The average across all 250 is $0.57, because the first 100 sit inside the $69.99.
The 2027 store guide applies from 16 December 2026: Premier $76.99, then $0.55 per account above 100. Same 250 accounts: $76.99 + (150 × $0.55) = $159.49. Solo goes from $29.99 to $32.99.
I do not have a store price for every year between September 2019 and December 2025. The chart leaves that span dotted. The per-account charge starts once a server is on Premier and past 100 accounts. A one-account VPS can stay on Solo.
WHMCS price increase
Owned licenses left sale in 2016. Support and Updates ended on 6 April 2021. The knowledge base says an owned license still runs, at the version you have, for an unlimited client count, without downloads or support. Security fixes still ship.
Plus was $29.95 when the January 2026 prices were announced. That figure is the notice on LowEndSpirit. I do not have the day $18.95 became $29.95. That span on the chart is dotted.
An active client has at least one active product, service, addon, or domain. Hit the Plus cap and the 2026 guide says the license upgrades on the next renewal. The 251st active client moves you from $34.95 to Professional at $54.95. That is a $20 step on the whole license, and the new ceiling is 500. cPanel's 101st account adds $0.49 and leaves the rest of the bill where it was.
Hetzner price increase, June 2026
The US change and the June 2026 change treated servers you already had in opposite ways.
The US row is the customer email in the 28 November 2024 Hacker News thread (472 points, 686 comments). Existing Ashburn and Hillsboro servers moved on 1 February 2025. They did not keep 20 TB.
June 2026 went the other way. The press release of 27 May 2026 says currently rented servers are not affected. New orders and rescales are. Prices on the adjustment page exclude VAT and IPv4. The announcement also cut setup fees on most dedicated servers, without before-and-after amounts, so those fees are not in the chart. Web hosting, managed servers, the server auction, IPs, storage, load balancers, volumes, snapshots, and object storage were left out.
A CCX13 you already have is still €15.99 if you leave it. Rescale it and the target plan's new price is what you pay. A new CPX22 is €19.49, more than that €15.99. A new CX23 is €5.49. One is a rise, one is a cut, and both drop the locked price. Read the target before you confirm the resize. Deleting the server and creating it again is a new order, so it takes the new price even when the plan name matches.
The auction servers in what one Proxmox node costs per sold gigabyte are outside this June table. Hetzner said the auction was not part of the increase.
What a per-GB price can pass through
cPanel Solo, one account, is $29.99 a month on the current store list and $32.99 from 16 December 2026. The gigabyte size of that account does not change the license. The node post will not show Solo until you add it as its own line. Past 100 accounts on one server, Premier adds $0.49 now and $0.55 from December 2026, per account. A plan priced per gigabyte of RAM collects nothing extra when you add an account and leave the VM size alone.
Dividing WHMCS Plus by 250 clients gives $0.14. The client who crosses the cap costs the $20 step to Professional at $54.95, on the next renewal, and the ceiling becomes 500.
Blesta's branded monthly license went from $12.95 to $17.95 on 1 January 2026 and still has no client tiers. Unbranded is $20.95. Premier at 250 accounts is $143.49. Blesta bills your customers. cPanel is the panel on the server.

Sell a year upfront and you collected that year at the order price. cPanel in 2019 still converted the annual license to monthly when it renewed. The last column is the only record of who was spared, and it expires on the date the row names.
An empty node is already an invoice. A license that grew while it sat there is a second one.
How to catch the next price change
The next printed date is 16 December 2026, when the cPanel guide takes effect. After that, open the same three vendor pages on 1 January and 15 June.
Write down one line from each page.
From the cPanel store page, save Premier's charge for each account past 100. It is $0.49 now. The 2027 guide puts that same charge at $0.55.
From the WHMCS pricing page, save the Plus price.
From Hetzner's adjustment page, save the Germany and Finland price for the plan you rent, and the sentence that says whether a server you already have keeps that price until you rescale.
The next change is the gap between the line you saved and the page on that morning. A host's own order form can show a different number.
Questions that change the invoice
Did cPanel grandfather unlimited accounts?
Monthly licenses kept the old structure until 1 September 2019. After that, the cap applied. Purchases made after the 27 June 2019 announcement were on the new prices immediately. There is no unlimited account tier on the store prices in the table.
Were existing Hetzner servers included in June 2026?
Servers you leave alone were not. New orders and rescales take the new price. The US change announced in November 2024 was the other pattern: existing Ashburn and Hillsboro cloud servers moved on 1 February 2025, including the cut from 20 TB to 1 TB on CPX11.
How much is WHMCS Plus in 2026?
$34.95 a month for up to 250 active clients, from 1 January 2026, on WHMCS's own list. Professional is $54.95 up to 500. Crossing the Plus cap upgrades the license, and the new price starts on the next renewal. A reseller can charge less. The row is the vendor list.
When does the next cPanel price increase start?
16 December 2026, in the 2027 store licensing guide. Solo $32.99, Premier $76.99, and $0.55 per account above 100. The store is still the December 2025 list.
